The quality of our service is important to us. We operate
a dedicated quality control department with two full
time staff who ensure that nothing leaves without
being inspected. We also work to the British Standards
BS6496 (1984) and BS6497 (1984) as detailed below.
Film thickness can be carried out on site, as can
cross hatch testing.
Powders & Baking
High quality coatings are assured through use of the best powders from Dupont
and Akzo Nobel, which are applied to suitably pre-treated substrates. Our cleaning
baths, chemicals and reagents are routinely checked and recalibrated to ensure
the optimum surface conditions for paint adhesion. After application of the paint,
coatings are dried or cured in temperature controlled environments in accordance
with the paint manufacturers instructions, resulting in high quality long lasting
We adhere to the specifications laid out in BS6496 (1984) for powder organic
coatings for application and stoving to aluminium alloy extrusions, sheet and
pre-formed sections for external architectural purposes, and for the finish on
aluminium alloy extrusions, sheet and pre-formed sections coated with powder
organic coatings. The standard covers the requirements for coatings before and
